mannequin hands

I have always been a fan of barely-there nail color. So when I read about mannequin hands from here, I looked at my badly-bitten-mummy nails and rummaged through my little bag of nail polish bottles.
Old bottles of Sally Hansen polishes were found! Ack! I was then happy and so I hurriedly buffed my nails. To my dismay, I opened each bottle only to find out that they are already sticky. I refused to believe that adding nail polish remover will only ruin them more, and so I was wrong... I added nail polish remover to improve their consistency, well, at the start it was all good, but it got thicker and thicker and achieving a uniform color in all fingernails was impossible. I colored, removed, recolored, and all were disappointments.

Until the weekend came and I had the chance to go to Suntec City Mall.

The Lovely Bones

Drama movies are really not my type. I mean, why pay to cry? But I couldn't help but like The Lovely Bones, a movie based on a novel by Alice Sebold. It is about a teenage girl who, after being raped and murdered, cannot let go of her life. She delays her journey to heaven as she watched how her family cope from her death. This is a great story on how much a father could love a daughter.

After seeing the movie, me thinks that this is a good read but I just can't at the moment. Reading about knowing that you have died on the hands of a serial murderer just might put me on a sad mood. But as soon as I feel that I can indulge in reading such, I would hunt for this book! This is the very same interest I had after I watched The Green Mile which, made me read a Stephen King. And the very same feeling I had after seeing The Prisoner of Azkaban which, made me read and follow Harry Potter from the first book to anticipating the latest.

Found the official The Lovely Bones movie page.
